Beautiful Things Happen When A Woman Trusts God by Sheila Walsh

I received a book from Book Sneeze - Beautiful Things Happen When A Woman Trusts God by Sheila Walsh. If you are a person who has a hard time trusting in your personal or spiritual life, this is the book you need to read. Sheila tells her own personal story as well as incorporating stories of trust from the Bible. If you read this with an open heart, you will be able to find the ability to trust yourself and God a little more. Great read - try Book Sneeze and you can find a great read too!

GREAT GIVEAWAY FROM ONE SIMPLE COUNTRY GIRL

Okay! I was over at One Simple Country Girl who is having a wonderful giveaway.
She wants you to leave her a comment and post her giveaway to your blog.
Sound easy right?!
Well, I have tried unsuccessfully to create a link to her page and have instead become quite frustrated. So I have given up trying to post with the picture she has
(which is quite cute by the way!)
And I am going to tell you to just find her blog, head to her page and enter her contest!
Sorry, I'm not much help but you just have to go there and see her cute giveaway.
Her blog is great too! I took one look and became a follower.
Now if only as a newbie to blogging, I could figure out how to link to other blogs!
Oh well, it was fun for the experience even if I don't win!

New Year

Well, I have once again been slacking in the blog department - but I have a good excuse right? Christmas, New Years, recovering from Christmas, and New Years.

(Note the rolls of wrapping paper beside the wrapped presents

- yes "Santa" did remove them before Christmas morning)

Okay, maybe not the best excuses but when you see the faces on my babies maybe you will forgive me.

They were so excited and couldn't wait to see what Santa would bring them.

Needless to say they were thrilled with their presents and have played nonstop since Christmas Day. These pictures will be posted in a later blog because tonight after cleaning the whole house, getting the kids ready to go back to school tomorrow, and getting myself ready for work tomorrow - this chick has had it for the day. More pictures and news to follow as we get back into a comfortable routine for my seven.

With blessings,

Susan

LONG TIME NO POST - BUSY TIMES

I can't believe that it has been so long since I last posted. Since I last posted, my oldest son left home and is testing the waters of a "real life." I haven't heard much from him but my thoughts are frequently with him.

My other children are blossoming at school and enjoying their lives. We enjoyed Halloween and are preparing for the upcoming holidays. UMMM - Thanksgiving sounds soooo wonderful (plus time off of work!)

I have turned 40 and have reflected on my past and am looking forward to my future. I know where I am headed - now I just have to get there. My thoughts always lead me back to staying home and taking care of my family. There has to be a way . . . . Well, I have lots of time to work on this.

Thanksgiving is bound to be fun this year. Last year, JC was so sick and was getting his tonsils, and adnoids removed and got tubes put in his ears. Then he got bronchitis. He missed almost a whole month of school. The surgery was a success. He can hear and is excelling at school. He keeps telling us how last year he didn't get to eat turkey so this year he wants doubles!

Following close behind is Christmas. My dear friends always provide me with a countdown and I am at the panic mode because the Stay-home mom in me would so be done with her crafts by now. But the Working mama in me is just not there yet!

So I'm off to make menus, clean the house, and get some crafting in before I decide to put it all off until next years Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Til next time,
Susan
